The climate in Javea is one of the healthiest in the world. While the summer months of July and August are always very popular, they are also fiercely hot. For sun worshippers and families, these are brilliant months to get away. But with 300 days of sunshine a year, you are typically assured of having great weather at most times of the year. In January, the average temperature is around 15° with around seven hours of sunshine a day.
Taking walks and sitting out enjoying a croissant and coffee in the sun by the Mediterranean sea is a great way to escape the UK winter blues.
Moving closer to Spring, the temperatures can reach as high as the early 20’s. The evenings are lighter and life in Spain is a lot brighter. Warm enough to be eating lunch al fresco down at the bars, cafes and restaurants. February is a delightful month to come to Villa Olivo and Javea.
With up to nine hours of sunshine a day, springtime in the Costa Blanca is a delight. With lighter, brighter days, and daytime saving coming into effect at the end of the month, it’s a delightful time to be at the villa.

Temperatures are really starting to warm-up. The solar-heated swimming pool is now warmed-up to the optimal temperature. April is a perfect time to come to the villa and relax by the pool enjoying the beautiful springtime sunshine.
More like the best summer day in the UK. May is a time bathed in glorious sunshine, with up to 12 hours a day. Javea is now back in summer mode, all of the restaurants and bars are in full-swing. With the temperature in mid-twenties, it is a great time to enjoy the many sights in and around the area.
A quieter month before the hustle and bustle of July and August. The restaurants are not as busy and things are less hectic.

With temperatures hitting as high as 34°, for sun-lovers, it is a glorious time to visit Villa Olivo. Enjoying an evening drink at the Atalya bar at the Arenal is a must while watching the fabulous sunset as it falls behind Mount Montgo.
August is a special time of year. With a rich mix of families from across Europe, the resort is teeming with holidaymakers lapping up the glorious sunshine. The villa is ready to cope with the warm temperatures with air-conditioning throughout.
The children are back to school, air fares are cheaper, and the weather is still fantastic. With day temperatures hitting as high as 30°, a break to Javea in September is a great time to get away and enjoy the late summer sun. The sea is also still warm enough to swim in.
With the temperatures in the low to mid-twenties, the heat is not as searing as in July and August, but still warm enough to use the solar heated pool and to top-up the sun-tan! Our favourite month of the year to spend time in Spain.
There are still many places to eat and drink and relax. At this time of the year you will find some of the bars/restaurants are not open, but there is still plenty of choice for those looking to escape the colder weather in the UK. Temperatures can still reach 20° so really pleasant for getting out and about.
December sees Javea celebrating Christmas, just with an opportunity of eating dinner outside!
With warmer weather and longer days, there are far worse places to spend Christmas and the New Year with the family.
